“Children, look here!” Ms. Smitha beckoned the children with a warm smile. Rinu and their eager friends turned their gazes towards her. “Good morning, ma’am!”

“The grand inauguration of our arts club will be graced by none other than the illustrious Hrithik Roshan!” Ms. Smitha announced with excitement. “To welcome him to our esteemed school, I propose ten outstanding students: Anu, Binu, Chinu, Dinu, Ginu, Linu, Minu, Rinu, Sinu, and Tinu.”

The students' hearts leaped with joy, and their faces lit up with uncontainable excitement upon hearing this thrilling news.

In the bustling class rooms of the school, excitement was in the air as the news of Hrithik Roshan's impending visit spread like wildfire.

On the big day, the school was buzzing with anticipation. The students were all dressed in their best outfits, eagerly waiting for the celebrity guest. However, as the time passed, Anu, Dinu, Minu, and Sinu began to grow impatient. They knew from experience that celebrities often arrived late, so they decided to head to the cafeteria to grab a quick snack while they waited.

Anu, the mischievous girl, sought out Rinu, the esteemed head girl of the school. "Rinu, we four are heading to the cafeteria. We'll be back before you know it," she declared, pretending weariness and boredom to add a touch of playfulness to her words.

Rinu, the responsible and wise leader, gently advised, "I think it's best if we stay prepared to receive the celebrity. He might come earlier than expected, and we wouldn't want to miss the chance to greet him properly."

Though Anu and her three friends were tempted to head to the cafeteria, they considered Rinu's advice and agreed to stay vigilant.

After a while, the four friends couldn't resist their desire for snacks any longer and decided to quickly grab a snack from the cafeteria. Anu, Dinu, Minu, and Sinu scurried off, promising each other that they wouldn't take long.

As the auditorium filled with eager students and the excitement reached its peak, Anu, Dinu, and Rinu took their positions to receive the celebrity guest. Rinu searched around with her eyes, the four were nowhere to be seen.

Unexpected to them, Hrithik Roshan had decided to surprise everyone by arriving on time. As he entered the school, he was greeted with cheers and applause. He smiled warmly and graciously shook hands with the students who were there to receive him.

"Hello, everyone! I'm thrilled to be here and witness your artistic talents," Hrithik said, addressing the excited crowd. "Your school's arts club must be incredibly talented to have caught my attention. I have some presents here for all the participants. Let's make this inauguration even more memorable!"

As Hrithik handed out the presents to Binu, Chinu, Ginu, Linu, and Tinu, Ms Smitha noticed that four students were missing. "Are Anu, Dinu, Minu, and Sinu around?" she asked, looking around.

Rinu replied, "They went to the cafeteria, thinking our guest might come late like other celebrities usually do."

Ms Smitha nodded understandingly but couldn't hide a tinge of disappointment. "Oh, I see. Well, I wish they were here to receive the presents too. Nevertheless, let's make sure they get theirs once they return," she said kindly.

Once in the cafeteria, they bought four bottles of refreshing Appy to quench their thirst and savor the excitement in the air. As they chatted and laughed, time flew by, and they realized they had spent more time than they intended.

Suddenly, Anu glanced at her watch and gasped, "Oh no! We need to get back to the auditorium soon! Hrithik might already be there."

Worried that they might miss the opportunity to see Hrithik, Anu and her friends hurriedly made their way back to the

auditorium. But just as they were about to enter, Minu and Sinu made an unexpected diversion towards the basketball ground.

Anu, surprised and concerned, called out, "Hey, where are you going? We have to reach the auditorium quickly!"

Minu flashed a reassuring smile and said, "Don't worry, we won't be long. We just wanted to quickly shoot a few hoops. We'll join you in no time!"

Anu and her friends exchanged anxious glances, torn between their desire to meet Hrithik and their friends' detour. Yet, they knew that Minu and Sinu's love for basketball was undeniable.

Anu and Dinu continued to the auditorium, hoping that Minu and Sinu would join them soon. As they entered the hall, the excitement and anticipation reached a crescendo. Hrithik Roshan, the charismatic celebrity, had already arrived and was mingling with the students who had gathered to welcome him.

Rinu caught sight of her friends hurrying towards the hall. With a wave of her hand, she gestured for them to approach. "Sorry, ma'am. Really sorry!" they humbly requested an apology from Ms. Smitha for their tardiness, wearing remorseful expressions on their faces.

Ms. Smitha looked at her students, though she didn’t approve of their misdeeds, appreciating their honesty and willingness to apologise. "It’s fine acknowledging your tardiness and offering your sincere apologies," she responded in a gentle and understanding tone. "It's essential to be ready always. Let's make sure we all strive to be prepared in the future. Now, let's focus on the exciting event ahead and make the most of it!"

Anu couldn't help but feel a tinge of regret that they hadn't stayed prepared as Rinu had suggested. She realized the importance of being ready and responsible, especially when it came to meeting someone special.

6

Meanwhile, Minu and Sinu rushed back to the auditorium, their hearts pounding with regret. They had lost track of time while playing basketball and didn't realize how quickly it had passed. When they finally reached the auditorium, it was already abuzz with Hrithik's speech and the festivities.

Anu, Dinu, and Rinu exchanged worried glances when they saw Minu and Sinu enter late. The disappointment on their friends' faces was evident, but they couldn't do anything as the event was already in progress.

Feeling guilty and regretful, Minu and Sinu approached Ms. Smitha, after the event. She was known for her strict but caring nature.

"I'm sorry we were late," Minu said, her voice filled with remorse. "We lost track of time while playing basketball."

Ms. Smitha looked at them sternly and said, "Being prepared for an event is crucial, especially when you have responsibilities. By being not ready, you missed the opportunity to fulfill your duties and receive the presents. It seems that you are not demonstrating the level of responsibility required for such roles."

Minu and Sinu felt a pang of regret as Ms. Smitha's words sank in. They had always admired their teacher and didn't want to disappoint her. They knew they had let their excitement and carefree attitude get the better of them.

7

From that day on, Anu, Dinu, Minu and Sinu learned an important lesson about the value of time and responsibility. They vowed to be more diligent and punctual in the future and to take their commitments seriously.

Over time, they proved their dedication to their teacher and peers by taking on various responsibilities in school. They organized events, helped with charity drives, and even participated in the school's arts club. Their efforts and growth did not go unnoticed, and their teacher, Ms. Smitha, saw the positive changes in them.

Though they had missed the chance to receive presents from Hrithik Roshan that day, they gained something far more valuable – a lesson in responsibility and the opportunity to grow into more reliable and dependable individuals.

Comment: Elisha: "It seems that I have heard or read something like it somewhere. Oh, I remember there is a story like it in Bible, "Parable of the Ten Virgins". Hannah, do you imply with the chief guest, is it our school exam and board exam?"
