Mini Story

Am I Not Smart?

Noora

"Alright, kids," Raju sir began, "let's dive into the concepts of the for loop using a simple example."

He proceeded to explain the intricacies of the for loop, breaking it down into understandable steps. The students listened attentively, eager to grasp the concept.

Once the explanation was complete, Raju sir announced, "Now, I want each of you to attempt a practice exercise on your own. This will help me assess your comprehension of the loop. Take your time, read the question carefully, and give it your best shot."

As she looked around, she couldn't help but feel a wave of self-doubt wash over her. The concepts that Raju sir had explained seemed straightforward enough during the class, but now, faced with the exercise, she found herself struggling to put them into practice. She wondered why she was finding it so difficult while others seemed to be progressing effortlessly.

Feeling a pang of sadness, she glanced down at her empty notebook, her mind filled with doubts and questions. "Am I not as smart as the others?" she thought to herself. "Maybe I'm just not cut out for programming."

But then, a voice inside her head spoke up, reminding her that it was just a momentary setback. She had faced challenges before and overcome them. She knew deep down that giving up wasn't an option. She took a deep breath, determined to turn her confusion into a learning opportunity.

She decided to approach the exercise step by step, breaking it down into smaller, more manageable tasks. She reviewed her class notes, referring back to the example Raju sir had given. With renewed focus, she started working on the problem, starting from the beginning.

As she delved into the exercise, she realized that she had made a simple mistake in understanding the question. It was a relief to discover that the problem wasn't as daunting as it had

initially seemed. With a newfound clarity, she began to write the code, step by step, applying the concepts Raju sir had taught.

Soon, she found herself getting into the flow, her confusion giving way to a sense of accomplishment. She could see the code coming together, each line of the loop connecting like a well-orchestrated symphony. The exercise started to make sense, and her confidence began to grow.

Minutes passed as she worked tirelessly on the problem, her determination unwavering. And finally, after what felt like an eternity, she completed the exercise. Looking at her solution, she couldn't help but smile. It wasn't perfect, but she had understood the concepts, applied them, and overcome the initial confusion.

As the time ended and Raju sir collected their answers, he noticed her radiant smile. Sensing her transformation, he approached her. "I see you've figured it out," he said, a hint of pride in his voice.

She nodded, grateful for his guidance and encouragement. "It was challenging, but I persevered. Thank you for explaining the concepts so clearly, sir."

Raju sir smiled warmly. "You're welcome. Remember, programming is not just about getting everything right on the first try. It's about learning from mistakes, asking questions, and finding your own solutions. I'm proud of you for not giving up and embracing the process."

She felt a newfound sense of confidence. She realized that the initial confusion and sadness had been a part of her learning journey, and overcoming them had made her stronger. She knew that even in the face of challenges, she would never let self-doubt hold her back. With determination and a willingness to learn, she was ready to take on any programming problem that came her way.
